A reflective, liminal space for exploration and dialogue.
Who Is Your Guide?
Hello, I’m Sara, and I’m an astrologer and tarot reader based in Oakland California, on the territory of xučyun (Huichin) the ancestral and unceded land of the Ohlone people. Prior to creating Mystic Mirror, I was a theater director and educator in San Francisco for many years. It was a unique non-profits arts position at the intersection of arts, education, and social justice. I believe that art and dialogue are transformative avenues for personal and societal change.
I discovered tarot and the occult during a profound period of loss and grief in 2019, and I started studying astrology soon after. These systems of divination called to me in the same way that theater did many years ago. Archetypes and storytelling are powerful tools for the artist. My tarot practice led me to astrology, and my intensive studies helped me hone my craft, and offer these services to others. Feeling unmoored personally and professionally can lead to new pathways in life. Astrology and tarot have opened many new doorways for me, and I have been a student and practitioner ever since.
Sara Pettit, Astrologer & Tarot Reader
Mystic Mirror is about exploring possibilities, not predicting the future. My task as an astrologer and tarot reader is not to predict events, but to help clients live their lives with more clarity, agency, and meaning. I offer consultations through a dialectical, humanistic lens that reflects the actual material condition we are all experiencing. Astrology and tarot can break limiting binaries and help us explore the liminal spaces that exist somewhere in between. This is where truth resides.
My Archetypes are the Artist, the Teacher, and the Visionary
I am an interpretive artist and collaborator offering natal chart interpretation and tarot card readings. I am an educator and lifelong seeker of wisdom. I am a visionary of alternative futures. I am in conversation with the cosmos.
Mystic Mirror is a space to explore divination, find connection, and seek change together. When you open yourself up to the possibilities that are contained within an astrology or natal chart reading, you are receiving messages from spirit, ancestors, and the subconscious. Divination is an exploratory, dialogic tool that can help you or your organization navigate more through change, listen, collaborate more effectively, and commit to sustainable goals. Move more intentionally with each other and the world.
We find ourselves in conversation. I offer my interpretation to you as a mirror and an illuminated container for your story to be witnessed. Exploring the mystical and the mundane. Astrology and tarot are tools for visionaries and world builders. They are passports to distant lands. Artists may find new inspiration or a different path in their creativity. Tarot and astrology are liberating tools of personal and group development. Let’s explore them together.
And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.
- ROALD DAHL
The mystic archetype connects us to our higher power. Often misunderstood or marginalized, the mystic is as empathetic as they are intuitive. They find magic in the mundane, in the elements of nature, and by observing the cycles of time. The mystic peers deeply into the unknown with open curiosity and a willingness to learn. Mystic Mirror is a portal for artists and dreamers. Explore astrology and tarot with me in an inquisitive, creatively guided, collaborative container.
Divination for Personal & Collective Liberation
I created Mystic Mirror to offer these systems of divination as tools of healing, dialogue, and personal exploration. For growth, to create community, and to foster healing. To ignite the imagination, explore archetypal energies, and to creatively envision the future. Let’s collaborate in astrology or tarot reading together. Please visit my offerings page for more information, and contact me if you have a specific need that does not exist within those constructs. I’m interested in collaborations, co-teaching, and community building.
